*PSAT - Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. For freshman and sophomores, this is a great practice opportunity for the SATs. Results are personalized and very informative. For juniors your score may qualify you as a National Merit Semifinalist.
*SAT- Scholastic Assessment Test. Sponsored by the College Board, this test measures verbal, math and writing aptitudes and reports the results on a scale of 200-800. Most American universities accept the SAT's. www.collegeboard.com
*SAT Subject - Some universities require one or more SAT subject tests. There are seventeen tests in five general subject areas. Each test takes an hour and you can take as many as three at a time.
*ACT - This is one entrance or admissions test. The ACT is sponsored by the American College Testing program. It has four subtests: English, math, reading, and science reasoning. Scores range from 1-36 for each of the subtest and the average, or composite, of the four is considered your "ACT score"." All American universities accept the ACT.
