FAFSA HINTS

Complete the FAFSA during the time of the month when your finances are at their lowest.

If your student has a "College Fund."  They are expected to use it for college and it will be weighed heavily in the EFC.  It would be smart to purchase as many needed college related supplies as possible before completing the FAFSA.

If someone is going to give the student a money gift for college and the student has qualified for Subsidized Student Loans.  It would be best to wait until after the student has finished college and apply that money gift, to student loans before the interest starts accuring.

Even if you don't plan to go to school in California put at least one California school on your FAFSA school list.

Do Not Submit the FAFSA until January 1

Don't forget to get the Cal Grant GPA form to me asap.
